It's the reason why Jennifer Hudson came in 7th place in 2004 despite clearly being at as good as the winner that year Fantasia Barrino. Let this be a lesson to you in this world. The world rarely promotes people on talent, competence and merit alone. On what effin planet is Jennifer Hudson the 7th best singer? Hell, on what planet is Jasmin Trias a better singer than Jennifer Hudson? It is maddening to see mediocrity routinely get ahead in this country. We are no longer a meritocracy in this country, but a likatocracy with more people getting ahead on likability than merit. This man is clearly the best singer already in this competition, but mark my words, his weight will be held against him and he will NOT win.
